FARMINGTON – The Rotary Club will hold an Interact informational meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, at the Mt. Blue High School library.

The new proposed service and social club is open to all 14- to 18-year-old Mt. Blue High School students.

The club will be sponsored by the Farmington Rotary Club, which will guide the Interactors in developing local and international service projects.

Interact derives its name from the words “international and action,” reflecting the nature of an organization that exists in 110 countries and promotes active service at home and abroad.

Consisting of almost 200,000 members and more than 8,600 clubs worldwide, Interact will also offer shadowing experience with Rotary Club members, a chance to make friends across borders and oceans, and will help develop leadership and team-building skills.

Mt. Blue High School students interested in making new friends, improving local and global communities and making a difference in the world are invited to attend the meeting.
