GREENE – Benoit and Nicole Lapointe of Greene celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Oct. 2. They were married on Oct. 2, 1965, at L’Eglise de Lambton in Quebec, Canada, by the Rev. Donald Lapointe.
They have three children, Yves Lapointe and his wife, Nathalie, of Auburn, Manon Pratt and her husband, Stephan, of Pebble Beach, Calif., and Gary Lapointe of Greene. They also have five grandchildren, Chloe, Sabrina and Isaac of Auburn, and Henri and Sylvie of Pebble Beach, Calif.
Mr. Lapointe is still active in the drywall trade. He enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors and working with his horses.
Mrs. Lapointe is currently taking classes to learn a new profession. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and playing bingo.
