AUGUSTA – The wedding of Katie L. Vermette and James M. Williams was held at 6 p.m. on Sept. 17 at the American Legion Hall in Augusta. Rhonda Bartholomew, notary, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Williams is the daughter of Rodger and Cindy Vermette of Whitefield, N.H. Mr. Williams is the son of Anita Reynolds and Steven Williams of Windsor.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless princess style gown, which wrapped from the left side to the right side. She carried a bouquet of lavender roses, baby’s breath, deep blue and purple iris and white and purple lilies.
Caroline Ward, best friend, was honor attendant and bridesmaids were Sheryl Day, future sister-in-law, and Mary-Ann Williams, sister-in-law.
A brother of the bridegroom, Michael Williams, served as best man and ushers were Allen Vermette, brother of the bride, and Matthew Roque, friend of the couple.
A reception followed at the American Legion Hall. The couple is residing in Sabattus.
The bride is employed in the loan servicing department at Mechanics Savings Bank in Auburn.
The bridegroom is employed at National Semiconductor in South Portland.
