ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. – Sylvia M. Bernier of Atlantic Beach, Fla., formerly of Auburn, passed away on Sept. 19, after battling an ongoing illness.

She was born on March 8, 1925, the daughter of E. Philippe and Gloria St. Pierre.

She was a medical secretary for Dr. Horacio Litcher for 25 years, then retired and moved to Atlantic Beach, Fla.

She was a loving, caring wife and grandmother who adored her family. She enjoyed flower gardens planted by her loving husband so as to attract the butterflies and various birds she loved to watch. She liked fine wine and classical music. She had an eye for good art and wrote excellent poetry. She is loved and dearly missed.

She is survived by one son, David B. Bernier (Anne); one daughter, Patricia A. Luna (Roberto); one sister, Muriel Baylis (Edward); four brothers, Phillip (Rita), Eugene (Theresa), Raymond (Carmen) and Roger (Germaine); eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George F. Bernier.
