LEWISTON – Marcella G. Pelletier-Bowen, 79, a resident of Montello Manor for 11 months, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Oct. 16.

She was born in Lewiston on Nov. 15, 1925, the daughter of Louis J. Vachon and Leodora Cloutier. She attended the Dominican Convent, Ave Maria Academy in Sabattus and Lewiston High School.

She worked at Belgrade Shoe in Auburn before retiring. She lived at Tacoma Lake, Litchfield and Lady Lake in Florida prior to becoming a resident at Montello.

She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. She was a sweet lady who loved everyone. She enjoyed her flower gardens and birds at the lake.

She was predeceased by her husband of 25 years, Roland A. Pelletier. She remarried Clement Bowen in 1982; he died on Sept. 8.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas R. and wife, Irene Pelletier, of Turner, and Lawrence and wife, Bonnie Pelletier, of Auburn; her sister, Jane and husband, Robert E. Poulin, of Lewiston; grandchildren, Christopher Pelletier, Gregory and Mona Pelletier, Chantel and Nelson Peterson, Laurie Milano, Audrey Smith, Adam Pelletier, Randy and Patty Donovan, Shawn Donovan, Ann and Brian Souza, and Kathy and Dean Clarke; great-grandchildren, Jayci Peterson, Danielle Peterson, Nick Peterson, Travis Pelletier, Trinity Pelletier, Jennifer Souza, Corey Clarke, Cassie Milano, Ashley Smith, Nicholas, Brandon, Cody and Ryan Donovan, Trent and Caitlyn Donovan, and Samantha Sawyer; and many nieces and nephews, Judy and Scott Erskine and their children, Joe and Nikki Erskine, Michale and Joline Poulin and their children, Matthew and Michelle, and Lisa and Paul Bonnefant and their son, Bryan Bonnefant.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Roland A. Pelletier; second husband, Clement Bowen; and her brother, Bertrand Vachon.
