LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met Oct. 17 at Murray Hall with 40 members present. Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting and Mary Groleau, along with the help of some of the Senior Singers, led the group in singing.

It was reported that Lorraine Ellingwood and Gail Lachance are on the sick list. Joan Lauzier, Emile Richard and Sybil Bailey were welcomed back. Jim and Elvina Miller were congratulated on their 65th wedding anniversary, and the 50-50 was won by Cecile Hathaway.

Couture reported that Lina Doucette, an insurance representative, was having meetings on Wednesday, Oct. 19, at the Jay Middle School meeting room to explain about the Medicare Part D prescription insurance.

Next week SeniorsPlus will put on their monthly meal, serving chicken stew, carrot salad, biscuits and fruit cocktail.

SeniorsPlus will hold a Halloween party on Friday, Oct. 28. They will serve a New England boiled dinner with ham, potatoes, carrots and cabbage, dinner roll and a scary dessert.

Following the meeting, beano was played along with other cards and games.
