LISBON – The wedding of Rebekah Lyn Turgeon and Thomas William Rogers was held at 9:30 a.m. on July 30 at Open Door Bible Church in Lisbon. Pastor David Garnett officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Rogers is the daughter of Louis and Martha Turgeon of Lisbon. Mr. Rogers is the son of Bill and Barbara Rogers of Olive Branch, Miss.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown with beads and carried a bouquet of red roses.

Ellie Morse, best friend of the bride, was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Joy and Alyssa Rogers, sisters of the bridegroom. Madison Bennett, a cousin of the bride, was flower girl.

Doug Mast, best friend of the bridegroom, performed the duties of best man and ushers were Nemesio Mendoza III and Jeremy Clyburn, friends of the bridegroom, Andrew Turgeon, brother of the bride, and Stephen and Will Rogers, brothers of the bridegroom. Tommy Kearns, friend of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer.

A reception followed at the church, after which the couple traveled to Asheville, N.C. They are residing in Lisbon.

The bride is a graduate of Calvary Christian Academy in Turner and Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, with a bachelor’s degree in history education. She is employed at Bangor Savings Bank in Monmouth.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Capitol Baptist School in Dover, Del., and Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Fla., with a bachelor’s degree in history. He is employed for Wally Jay Staples Builders.
