AUBURN – Andre and Patricia (Litchfield) Deshaies of Harpswell, formerly of Auburn, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 18. The children of the couple hosted a small family gathering in Auburn to mark the occasion.
A Ruby tree adorned with family photos and memorabilia was presented to the guests of honor.
The couple was married on Sept. 18, 1965, in a Catholic wedding at St. Mary’s Church in Augusta, with a reception following at the Holiday Inn in Augusta. The couple traveled to Vermont and New Hampshire for their honeymoon.
They are the parents of three children, Jane Clavet of Auburn, Susan Rancourt of Falmouth, and Andrea Deshaies of Ashland, Mass. They also have three grandchildren, Loren and Mitchell Lachapelle and Matthew Rancourt, and two stepgrandchildren, Gage and Lexis Clavet.
The family is planning a family vacation in the near future.
