AUBURN – William H. “Billy” Winner, of 1092 Hotel Road, Auburn, passed away at his home on Saturday, Nov. 5. He was surrounded by loving family and friends.

Billy was born in Lewiston-Auburn at Central Maine General on May 10, 1941.

He was the beloved son of the late Rae and Joseph Winner; beloved brother and brother-in-law of Linda and Ian Greenberg of Montreal, Can., Ellen and David Lewis of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Rebecca and Steve Rao of Milwaukee, Wis. He was a loving uncle to seven nieces and nephews, and six great-nieces and great-nephews.

Billy attended the Garcelon School in Lewiston, and enjoyed a full and happy life. For the last 18 years, he was a beloved member of the John F. Murphy Homes, Inc. His life was a testiment to living a joyous, full life while striving to be the best person he could be. He was deeply loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
