Chapter supper

AUBURN – The Pine Cone Chapter 26 Order of the Eastern Star will meet Thursday, Nov. 10 at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner Street, starting at 6:30 p.m. with a religious leadership supper. Donations for the supper are $3 per person.

A meeting of the chapter will follow at 7:30 p.m.

The following chapters will participate: Pioneer II, Lakeside 60 and Pine Cone 26. Jerri A. Holt Past Grand Matron and Chairman of the ESTARL Committee will speak on the ESTARL program.

Life membership certificates of the order will be presented to: Eleanor Peterson, Carole Newcombe, Pauline Martin, Meredith Dalessandro, H. Jean Dennison, Laura and Harold Campbell, Arlene and Raymond Hawkins, Dorothy Hunter, George Herrick Snr. and Frank Delessandro.

All Eastern Star members are welcome.

Hummel Club

LEWISTON – Nor’Easter Maine Chapter, M.I. Hummel Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St. Visitors and interested people are welcome. For more information, call President Arlene Hawkins at 782-5503 or Secretary Diane Gatchell at 782-0786.

Holiday meal

LEWISTON – Hope Haven Gospel Mission will provide a free holiday dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24, at 209 Lincoln St. The meal will be available to shut-ins as well. Those who need delivery should call 783-6086.

Class fair

TURNER – The Leavitt Area High School science class will hold a craft fair Friday, Nov. 11, at the Turner Elementary School. A few spaces are available. For more information, call Lori at 224-8264 or Heather at 225-3533.

Seniors dinner

MONMOUTH – The Monmouth Lions Club will hold a free Senior Citizens Thanksgiving dinner at noon Sunday, Nov. 20, at the Cottrell School. Residents of Leeds, Wales, Litchfield and Monmouth are invited.

Home elects

AUBURN – The Sarah Frye Home annual meeting was held at the home on Oct. 18. Officers elected were: president, James DeWolfe; vice president, Beverly Heath; secretary, Carmen Clifford; and treasurer, Tonie Ramsey.

The home is a nonprofit assisted living facility having served the area for the past 103 years. Regular meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, except July and August.
