LEWISTON – A special patriotic observance of Veterans Day will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the Jesus Party Headquarters, 291 Bates St.

Douglas Taylor, ministry director of the Jesus Party Pentecostal Kid’s Church, and the ministry’s patriotic mentor, Jerry DerBoghosian, will commemorate the anniversary of Veterans Day, a special day that honors people who have served and are serving in the U.S. Armed Forces and commemorating all the veterans who have died to preserve freedom.

The program will open with a special solo of “Star Spangled Banner” by Danielle Taylor. DerBoghosian will recite the Pledge of Allegiance and offer prayers for service men and women and their families. Patriotic songs will be sung by the assembly, closing with “God Bless America.” A documentary will be shown.
