LEWISTON – The person who robbed Northeast Bank on Lisbon Street Monday afternoon remained at large Tuesday.

Police were still searching for a lone male who walked into the bank around 4 p.m. and demanded money. Detectives were searching for clues, and patrol officers were on the lookout for a suspect. But by Tuesday night, no arrests had been made.

Police said the suspect walked into the bank, near Lisbon Street and East Avenue, and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money and fled the bank.

The suspect was described as wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over a cap. He was wearing light colored pants, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 795-9000.
