Elks host guests

RUMFORD – Rumford Elks Lodge 862 will host State President Elmer Berry and first lady, Patty, on Saturday, Nov. 26, during Veterans’ Night.

A ham supper with all the trimmings will be followed by entertainment by the Farmington Lodge and Emblem Club and dancing from 8 p.m. to midnight with music by the E and I Band.

The price is $20 a couple or $10 a person. Veterans will have priority pricing. Supper will be served from 6 to 7 p.m., with a social hour from 5 to 6 p.m.

Holiday cantata

LOCKE MILLS – The annual Christmas cantata, “Near to the Heart of God,” will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Locke Mills Union Church. Refreshments will follow.
