NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – A 17-year-old boy was arraigned in Nashua District Court on charges he molested a 5-year-old girl at his mother’s day care center in Hudson.
Kyle Russell, 17, faces two charges of aggravated felonious sexual assault. He is accused of molesting the girl at Debbie’s Play Group, a licensed day care center his mother runs out of their home.
He did not enter a plea during Thursday’s hearing; he faces a preliminary hearing on the evidence Dec. 9.
The judge released him to the supervision of his grandparents, with whom he has been staying. Russell also was ordered not to have any contact with the children at his mother’s daycare or any unsupervised contact with children younger than 16.
There are no allegations that other children were molested, although police are still investigating. Authorities said Russell’s mother has cooperated with police and the day care center remains open.
