LEWISTON – The financial aid office of the University of Southern Maine will host an informational financial aid night at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Lewiston-Auburn campus.

The workshop, titled “FAFSA 1-2-3 and Beyond,” will be geared primarily to high school seniors and their parents. Topics to be covered include: Why file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid); how and when to file; different types of financial aid; what happens at the financial aid office; and how to find helpful resources.

The event will be informative for all students, regardless of which college(s) they may be applying to. Suzanne Frigon, financial aid officer at USM/L-A, will conduct the session and will answer questions.
