LEWISTON – The Auburn Community Band, under the direction of Milt Simon, will present its 25th annual holiday concert on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at the Olin Arts Center, 75 Russell St., Bates College. The 75-minute program will begin at 7 p.m.

The 50-member band is comprised of volunteer musicians from 15 central and southern Maine communities, ranging in age from 14 to 80. They will perform traditional and contemporary holiday favorites, including three songs celebrating the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.

In lieu of admission, those attending the free concert will have the opportunity to drop a donation into the Salvation Army kettle, which will be located in the lobby. All money donated that evening will be used to help area residents in need of assistance.
