LEWISTON – Maureen R. Lyons passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 8, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
She was born in Manhattan, N.Y., on Aug. 19, 1953, the daughter of Joseph and Irene Farrell. She was educated through the New York school system, from which she graduated.
She married Stephen Lyons.
She was a devoted and loving mother, and a free spirit who found great joy and laughter in the small things in life, such as singing and dancing.
She enjoyed her close circle of caring friends from her faith, Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her pride and joy were her two grandchildren. She was a terrific and loving grandmother, mother and friend.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudette and husband, Matthew Roy; and granddaughters, Adrianna and Nadia, all of Lewiston.
She was predeceased by her mother and father; and two brothers.
