AUBURN – Therese A. Chabot, 80, of Poland Road, Auburn, died Dec. 15, at the Hospice House after a 23-year illness with cancer.

She was born in Lewiston on May 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna Cloutier. She was educated in local schools.

On Nov. 23, 1946, she married Ernest Chabot. She was a homemaker and raised six children with her husband.

She was employed at St. Joseph’s kindergarten and daycare for 15 years, and was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the New Auburn Senior Citizens and the Golden Age Club.

She loved watching the “Price is Right,” the “Wheel of Fortune” and “Everybody Loves Raymond.” She enjoyed bus trips with the seniors’ group.

She is survived by four daughters, Claire Chabot of Auburn, Diane Moulton and husband, Peter, of Freeport, Dorothy Chabot and her partner, Richard Yaco, of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Annette Gagnon and husband, Michael, of Auburn; two sons, Roger Chabot and wife, Martha, of Auburn, and Paul Chabot of Poland; four granddaughters; eight grandsons; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Cloutier and his friend, Maybel Poulin, Raymond Cloutier and wife, Claire, both of Lewiston, and Gerard Cloutier and wife, Frances, of San Lorenzo, Calif.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest, in 1983; her sisters, Jeanne Poulin and Sister Madeline Cloutier; and her parents. We will miss her with all of our hearts.
