NORWAY – Willie Elmont Buck, 77, of Oxford Meadows, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 16, at Stephens Memorial Hospital, with his loving wife, Mary, at his side.

He was born in Oxford on June 17, 1928, the son of Alfred and Elsie Yeaton Buck. Willie attended local schools and worked for 25 years for the city of Auburn and then in the woods until 1997.

He married Mary Durgin on May 23, 2000, in Oxford. Willie was a member of the Oxford Advent Christian Church, Oxford Grange 46, Maine Country Music Association and Downeast Country Music Association.

Survivors include his wife of Oxford; three sons, Floyd Pike Jr. of Stoneham, Michael of Waterford and Willie Jr.; a daughter, Jackie of Courtland, Va.; four grandsons; one granddaughter; and many neices and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Hazel; and three brothers, Albert, Linwood and Robert.
