AUBURN – Rita M. Godin, 81, of Dunn Street, Auburn, died peacefully at Clover Manor Friday afternoon, Dec. 16, surrounded by her family.
She was born and raised in Lewiston by her parents, Ronaldo and Mabel Berube Benoit.
In 1946, she married Gerald D. Godin, and together they resided in New Auburn for their 59 years of marriage, where she devoted herself to caring for her family. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time talking and laughing with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Stanley of Honolulu, Hawaii; a daughter, Joyce Kyllonen and her husband, Wayne, of Poland; and two grandsons, Craig Kyllonen and Kyle Kyllonen.
She was predeceased by her parents; three sisters, Cecile Benoit, Lorraine Ouellette and Loretta Bilodeau; and a brother, Roger Benoit.
