Coalition dance

MEXICO – The River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition will host a Dance Dance Revolution Tournament at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the Teen Center on Recreation Drive.

Entry fee is $3.

The event is open to middle and high school students.

There will be two brackets: light standard and heavy. The game version for the competition will be either DDR extreme or DDR extreme 2. Prizes are available for first-place winners in both categories.

Celebration

BETHEL – New Year’s Bethel Celebration will feature five programs at four locations in Bethel Village on Saturday, Dec. 31.

Activities include ecumenical service, crafts and activities for children a community bonfire, and horse-drawn wagon rides.

Advance tickets are: $10, adults; $8, ages 6 to 18; free, 5 and under; at the door, $12, $10 and free.

Club meeting

PERU – A snowmobile club meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, at the fire station.

All members are welcome.

MEXICO – The Trailblazers will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the Town Hall.

Valley Riders

MEXICO – River Valley Riders ATV Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, at the Chicken Coop.

Rabies clinic

PERU – A rabies clinic will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7,. at the town garage.

Dog licenses are due.

Knitting guild

PARIS – The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet at the First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St., South Paris, from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Jan. 3.
