WALES – Cassie Kupfer drained 13 points and hauled down six rebounds to give Oak Hill its first victory of the season, a 42-39 triumph over Lincoln in a KVAC matchup Tuesday.

Amber Provost chipped in with 11 points for the Raiders (1-6), while Emily Sabine tallied seven. Excellent late-game foul shooting (five shots) by Kristen Eaton was also key in the victory.

Alex Wajer led the way for Lincoln (1-7) with 10 points, while Amy Brooks added eight.

Oak Hill rallied for a 20-point fourth quarter to make this win, the team’s first since Jan. 2004, a reality.

Maranacook 51, Mt. View 46 (2OT)

READFIELD – Jackie Mrazik scored a game-high 23 points, which included five 3-pointers, as Maranacook battled Mt. View to a 51-46 win in double overtime in a KVAC girls’ basketball matchup.

Shannon Bean chipped in with 15 points, while Chelsey Freeman added 10 for the Black Bears (3-5).

Maranacook ran its offense for more than a minute in the second overtime. The Black Bears patience resulted in a layup by Freeman, a free-throw by Laura St. John, and a steal that led to a Bean layup.

The Mustangs (1-6) were paced by Macy Montminy with 17 points, and Kelsy Richard with nine.

Mt. Abram 46, Monmouth 30

MONMOUTH – Kenni Norton and Emily Stinchfield each scored 11 points as Mt. Abram recorded a 46-30 victory over Monmouth in girls’ hoops action Tuesday.

Mt. Abram sprinted to a 31-17 advantage at the half, and never looked back. Heather Hages added seven points for the Roadrunners (5-2).

Jenn Lola netted a game-high 14 points for the Mustang (1-6).

Telstar 41, Mtn. Valley 29

BETHEL – Jillian Kimball poured in 14 points to lead Telstar to 41-29 victory over Mountain Valley in MVC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

Chea Davis and Lindsay Hart chipped in for the Rebels (6-2) with six points apiece in a well-balanced attack.

Kristen Arsenault led the Falcons (3-4) with 11 points, while Vanessa Cayer tallied six.

Telstar held a slim one-point advantage at the half, but went on a 17-6 run in the fourth quarter to pull ahead for the win.

Mt. Blue 44, Nokomis 38

FARMINGTON – Christina Mosher performed solidly, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, as Mt. Blue slipped past Nokomis 44-38 Tuesday evening.

Bonnie Silkman also stepped up for the Cougars (6-2), pouring in 18 points and making 11 steals for the win.

Tatum Welch tallied 15 points for the Warriors’ (3-5) effort.

Winthrop 54, Lisbon 30

WINTHROP – Emilie Knight tallied 18 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks to lead Winthrop to a 54-30 victory over Lisbon in girls’ hoops action Tuesday.

Knight was assisted by Katie Pushard with 12 points and five assists, while Brittany Gaudet chipped in with nine points.

Lisbon was paced by Kristy McAuliffe with eight points.

Cony 76, Leavitt 36

TURNER – Cassie Cooper poured in a game-high 17 points as Cony routed Leavitt 76-36 in a KVAC girls’ matchup Tuesday evening.

Leading 27-9 at the half, Cony put the game away with a 35-11 outburst in the third quarter.

Rachel Mack added 16 points, Kristi Violett chipped in with 15, and Shelby Pelkey contributed 14 for the undefeated Rams (8-0).

Paige Dyer netted 10 points and Stephanie Healy added eight for the Hornets (0-8).

Hall-Dale 49, Wiscasset 30

WISCASSET – Chelsey Dionne netted 17 points as Hall-Dale posted a 49-30 triumph over Wiscasset in girls’ basketball action Tuesday.

Caitlyn Laflin added 13 points for the undefeated Bulldogs’ (7-0). Hall-Dale jumped out with a 14-0 run to start the game.

The Redskins (0-7) were paced by Klarizza Cruz with nine points, Molly Brewer with six points, while Megan Foye added four points and seven rebounds.

EL 55, Gardiner 42

GARDINER – Brittney French poured in 19 points to lead a trio of players in double digits as Edward Little rolled past Gardiner 55-42.

Edward Little jumped out to a 15-6 lead in the first quarter and never trailed.

Kate Dargie chipped in for the Red Eddies (2-5) with 12 points, while Kelsey Nicholas added 10. Beth Cook led the Tigers (4-3) with 12 points, while Sara Frank tallied 11.
