AUBURN – Sean McNally downed 22 points as Gardiner edged Edward Little 46-45 in KVAC boys’ basketball game Tuesday evening.

Troy Barnies dominated action on the court, pouring in 31 of the Red Eddies 45 points. He also hauled down 10 rebounds.

The Eddies had a run in the fourth quarter, topping Gardiner 17-11, but key turnovers and missed free throws prevented the Eddies (3-4) from clinching the win.

Maranacook 56, Mt. View 54

THORNDIKE – Ryan Martin poured in a game-high 23 points, 13 of which came in the fourth quarter, to give Maranacook the 56-54 edge over Mt. View on Tuesday.

Mike Poulin added 14 points for the undefeated Black Bears (7-0).

The Mustangs (3-4) were led by Jesse Haffner and Kyle Tripp, who scored 13 and 10 points, respectively.

Leavitt 11, Old Town 4

BREWER – Cory Maillet recorded a hat trick Tuesday night to lead Leavitt to a 11-4 rout over Old Town.

Richie Lake, Evan Longchamp and Nick Bourgoin all chipped in for the Hornets (5-0) with two goals each, while single tallies by Justin Rouillard and Chris Cloutier completed the scoring. Goalie Richard Thibault made nine saves.

Cory Parent, Josh Hazeltine, Tyler Dufour and Jason Smith all tallied for Old Town in the lopsided contest. Jason Trask stopped 35 of 46 shots.
