STUART, Fla. – Leo O. Cote, 85, died Dec. 27, 2005, at Martin Memorial Hospital South.

He was born July 17, 1920, in Jackman and resided in Auburn. He retired in 1988 and spent his winters in Stuart, Fla. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Before retirement, he was a pipefitter and belonged to the Local Pipefitters Union. He belonged to Sacred Heart Church in Auburn and St. Andrews Catholic Church in Stuart.

Survivors include his sons, Edward Cote, of Minot and Normand Cote, of Auburn; daughters, Rachel Cote and Vivian Renner, both of Readfield; sisters, Cecil Wlodarski, of Farmington, Conn., and Mildred Roy, of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane Cote; sister, Theresa Rene; and grandson, David Renner.
