AUBURN – Junior forward Joe Bonneau collected 18 points to lead St. Dom’s to a 51-45 win over Old Orchard Beach in WMC boy’s basketball action Friday.
The Seagulls (2-5) led for most of the game. St. Dom’s took the lead for the first time with just four minutes remaining in regulation.
Kyle Rancourt paced the Seagulls with 12 points.
Bonneau converted a long pass to shorten the Seagulls’ lead to 42-36 and change the momentum at the end of the third quarter.
The Saints (3-3) held Old Orchard Beach to three points in the final frame to notch the come-from-behind win.
Junior center Andrew Allen complemented his eight points by hauling down 10 rebounds for St. Dom’s.
Gardiner 60, Lewiston 39
GARDINER – Center Sean McNally proved to be too much to handle as he scored 22 points to lift Gardiner to a 60-39 decision over Gardiner in a boys’ KVAC basketball game Friday. Sam Kallman added 12 points for the Tigers (7-1).
Jared Turcotte was the leading scorer for the Blue Devils (6-3) with seven points.
Waterville 58, Oak Hill 46
WALES – Senior guard Conner McCarthy scored 14 points and hit five-of-six from the free-throw line down the stretch to give Waterville a 58-46 win over Oak Hill in KVAC boys’ basketball action Friday.
The Raiders (0-8) outscored Waterville by a margin of 16-8 in the third quarter to knot the contest at 39-39. Senior guard Mike Eaton recorded a game-high 18 points to go along with seven rebounds and three assists.
Senior forward Finley Allen contributed 13 points in the contest for the Panthers (2-6), while Waterville went on a 19-5 run in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
Brunswick 68, Oxford Hills 61
BRUNSWICK – Jordan Kelly poured in six 3-pointers and finished with 22 points to lift Brunswick to a 68-61 victory over Oxford Hills in a boys’ KVAC basketball game Friday.
The Vikings (4-4) utilized a 23-point third quarter to pull to within four points but could get no closer.
Ben Ryerson led Oxford Hills with 22 points, while Jake Cash and Chris McVety added 11 in a losing cause.
Doug Eichinger chipped in with 14 points for the Dragons (8-0).
Falmouth 45, G-NG 37
GRAY – Bryant Barr dropped in 28 points, including 11 from the charity stripe, as Falmouth upended Gray-New Gloucester 45-37 to improve to 8-0 Friday.
The Yachtsmen won the game with foul shots, outscoring the Patriots 17-9 from the line. Adam Packard sparked the offense with six points for Falmouth.
Josh Levasseur led Gray-New Gloucester with 11 points and eight rebounds. Chris Bennett chipped in 10 points.
Valley 58, Rangeley 41
RANGELEY – Travis Hovey netted 17 points as Valley downed Rangeley 58-41 in boys’ basketball Friday.
Shawn Lay added 13 points for the Cavaliers (6-1) who outscored the Lakers (5-2) 33-21 in the second half.
Aaron Philbrick led the Lakers with 13 points, while David Jensen connected for 10.
