Lady Devils go 2-1

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Lady Blue Devils went 2-1 in recent action. The Devils dropped a tough 5-4 decision to Yarmouth. Kelly Carver, Michelle Rancourt, Kelsey Rodrigue and Katie Cobb all lit the lamp for the Devils. Assists went to Kaitlyn Sirois, Rancourt, Cobb and Rodrigue. LHS Goalie Katie Avery made 23 saves.

The Lady Blue Devils blanked Deering 2-0 Monday. Cobb and Rodrigue scored the goals, with Rodrigue, Cobb and Sirois assisting.

Katie Avery stopped 41 shots as Lewiston knocked off Winthrop 3-0. Cobb netted 2 goals and Carver potted the other. Receiving assists were Carver, Alex Burpee and Heather Avery.

Maranacook League

READFIELD – Maranacook EJP Mites split 2 games in recent action. Cody Stockford tallied 4 goals and Paul Martha added 3 as Maranacook blanked Somerset 13-0. Other scorers were Matt Ingram, Peter Prescott (2), Hunter Tims, Zachery Phinney and James Canwell. Drawing 2 assists each were Stockford and Martha. Jack Vickerson goaled the shutout. . . Midcoast edged Maranacook 4-3 as Matt Brooks and Kyle Lussier both netted 2 goals. Ryan Lutrzykowski, Stockford and Martha scored for Maranacook. Matt O’Leary was the winning goalie. Vickerson again donned the pads for EJP.
