FRYEBURG – Yvette Pruneau and Bob Wells, representing Vacationland Bowling Center in Saco, took top honors at the recent Maine State Candlepin Bowling Proprietors’ Association Senior Mixed Doubles Tournament held at Saco Valley Sports Center.

Eligible were bowlers 60 years of age or older and a league player from a MSCBPA member house. Pruneau-Wells rolled a winning score of 1359 for the 5-string handicap match.

Second was the duo of Ginny Durgin-Roland Deshaine of Brewer, 1304, followed by Jeanna Starkley-Paul Renaud, Lisbon Falls, 1303. Fourth place went to Dot Ela-Al Fogg of Fryeburg, 1290, followed by Connie Latno-Jim Lapierre, Augusta, 1290.

The tie for fourth was broken by the high single game.

Next MSCBPA Senior event is “Mixed Teams”, Feb. 8-9 at Big 20 at Scarborough.
