TOPSHAM – Katie Martin scored 10 of her 12 points during the pivotal third quarter, and Oxford Hills sealed the game with free throws down the stretch in a 66-58 victory over Mt. Ararat in girls’ basketball action Friday.

The Vikings (8-2) trailed 31-21 at halftime, but used a 25-12 run in the third quarter to regain the lead. The game was tied twice in the final quarter – the last at 50-50 – but Oxford Hills put the game away by converting 12 of 20 free throws.

Terry Bunce led the Vikings with 18 points, while Kelsea Pelletier added 13 and Kyla Martin 10. Jess Stahl scored a game-high 21 points for Mt. Ararat (5-6). Elaine Emerson added 16.

Rangeley 40, Vinalhaven 33

VINALHAVEN – Senior guard Nicole Crupi scored 19 points to lead Rangeley to a 40-33 win over Vinalhaven in EWC girls’ basketball action Friday.

Crupi recorded seven field goals for the Lakers (6-2), including one from the 3-point variety. Teammate Angela White hauled down seven rebounds to aid the winning effort.

Senior guard Lindsay McCarthy paced the Vikings (7-3) with 10 points.

Hebron 57, Elan 9

HEBRON – Kayla Hemphill scored 15 points to spark Hebron to a 57-9 victory over Elan.

Laurisa Barthen added 10 points, and Kainani Stevens chipped in with nine points for Hebron (1-4).

Nina Martin scored all nine points for Elan (0-5).

Telstar 56, Lisbon 37

LISBON FALLS – Bailey Davis led the Rebel attack with 12 points as Telstar kept Lisbon winless on the season with a 56-37 decision over the Greyhounds. Kelsey Dole joined Davis in double figures with 10 points, and Liz Rosenberg added 10 for the Rebels (7-9).

Emily Moore had nine points to spark Lisbon (0-10), Kelly Bourgoin added eight, and Mindy Sullivan also scored eight to go with her 10 rebounds.

Lewiston 51, Leavitt 42

TURNER – Danielle Willey netted 15 points, including three 3-pointers, as Lewiston pulled away in the fourth quarter for a 51-42 victory over Leavitt in girls’ basketball Friday.

Katie Nadeau added a pair of treys in a 10-point effort for the Blue Devils.

Stephanie Healy and Ashley Naylor scored 13 points apiece for the Hornets, who trailed by as little as three points in the final frame but could not pull any closer on four straight free-throw attempts after a technical foul.

Brittany Duncan had seven points to go with 10 rebounds, four assists, and four steals for winless Leavitt (0-9).

Mountain Valley 31, Mt. Abram 27

RUMFORD – Kristen Arsenault scored 13 points to propel Mountain Valley to a 31-27 victory over Mt. Abram in MVC girls’ basketball.

Logahn Walker had nine points for the Roadrunners, and Brittany York added eight.
