NORTH TURNER – Donald Michaud Sr., 58, of North Turner, died on Saturday, Jan. 14, at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 24, 1947, in Van Buren, the son of Leon and Gertrude Michaud.

He was on the Turner Fire Department for 12 years as a traffic controller. He loved ice fishing with his sons and grandsons and camping at his daughter’s home on Allen Pond, with his wife, Yvonne. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Good Shephard Food-Bank and AWAP.

He married the former Yvonne Duchette in 1968, and they had three children.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Yvonne; daughter, Carmen Collins and husband, Theodore, of Greene; sons, John Michaud and wife, Faith, of Wilton and Donald Michaud Jr. and his wife, Diane, of Livermore Falls; grandchildren, Amanda, Joshua, Michael and Teddy Collins, Celeste, Nathan, Matthew, Steven, Cheryl and Tyrell Michaud and Zachary Smith; great-grandson, Dylan (his pride and joy); sister, Diane Berube and husband, Peter, of St. Augustine, Fla.; and brothers, Leo Michaud and wife, Terri, of Sidney and Lionel Michaud and wife, Caroline, of Leeds.

He was predeceased by his parents.
