BRIDGTON – The first baby of 2006 was born at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Bridgton Hospital. Tonya J. Strout and Matthew A. Beckwith have a new son, Samuel Austin Beckwith, weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces.
Baby and mom were presented gifts from hospital friends and area businesses. Gifts included an embroidered blanket, two $50 savings bonds, a bouquet and a gift check.
Maternal grandparents are Suzette and Ronald Strout, Bridgton; paternal grandparents, Janet and Denis Beckwith, Scarborough; great-grandparents, Leroy Grant, Naples; Ruby and Marvin Beckwith, North Yarmouth.
The delivering physician was Dr. Ronald M. Cilley, obstetrician/gynecologist, Bridgton.
