TOPSHAM – Lorene M. Fowler, 83, passed away on Jan. 18, at Amenity Manor, where she had been a resident for the past two months, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lisbon Falls on March 1, 1922, a daughter of Harry and Althea (Gifford) Roberts. She married George W. Fowler Jr. on Nov. 20, 1938, in Lisbon Falls. She worked in woolen mills, at the Town Cleaners in Lisbon Falls and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed sewing for her family, was a great cook and enjoyed family gatherings. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by three daughters, Phyllis and husband, Andy Ring, Betty Dwinal and Mildred Rider, of Lisbon Falls and a son, Kenneth and wife, Constance, of Lisbon Falls; eight grandchildren, Gloria and husband, Leo Hewes, Gail and husband, Mark Burbank, Robert and wife, Marilyn Dwinal, Gary and wife, Cathy Dwinal, David and wife, Joline Rider, Dean and Darren Rider, Cathy and husband, Glen Williams; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband on Jan. 7, 1985; a daughter, Sally on Jan. 7, 1943; sister, Iverne Jensen; and two brothers, Lendall and Carlton Roberts.
