PORTLAND (AP) – Jason Jaspers scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as the Springfield Falcons rallied back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Portland Pirates 4-3 Friday.
Chris Dingman scored once and added two assists for the Falcons.
The teams were tied at the first intermission after Joel Stepp scored for the Pirates (27-11-4-3) and Dingman answered for Springfield (17-22-2-4).
The Pirates went ahead by two in the second period. Kent Huskins scored at 1:46 and Geoff Peters made it 3-1 at 16:49.
The Falcons rallied to tie it when Jaspers collected his first of the evening 44 seconds into the third period and Timo Helbling netted the tying goal with 2:11 remaining in regulation.
Jaspers scored his second of the evening 20 seconds into overtime.
