GREENE – A surprise party was held recently for Merton and Carol Buzzell of Greene, on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary.
Party hosts were son and daughter of the couple, Jayson and Alyson Buzzell, and the event was held at the home of Tobie and Angela Bubier.
Tony Brewer, cousin of Mrs. Buzzell, sang for the couple, and Glenice Bubier, mother of Mrs. Buzzell, wrote a special poem, “Langtown Camp.”
An aunt of Mrs. Buzzell, Janice Brewer, provided the decorations, and a cake was made by Cheryl Hooper. Photos were also displayed.
Mr. Buzzell and the former Carol Bubier were married on July 12, 1980, at the Greene Baptist Church. The couple has two children, Jayson and Alyson.
Mrs. Buzzell is the daughter of Clayton and Glenice Bubier of Greene and is employed as assistant town clerk in Greene.
Mr. Buzzell is the son of Phyllis Buzzell of Leeds and the late Harold Buzzell. He is employed as locator for On Target Utility Services in Gardiner.
Guests attended from Turner, Leeds, Lewiston, Sabattus, Bowdoin, Livermore and Hartford.
