FARMINGTON – Ramona F. Timberlake, 84, of Strong, passed away early Saturday morning, Jan. 28, at Edgewood Rehabilitation and Living Center, where she had resided for the past three years.

She was born in Strong on May 25, 1921, the daughter of Linwood and Hazel (Douglass) Foster of Wilton. She graduated from Wilton Academy and the New England School of Business in Portland.

She married Marvin A. Timberlake of South Portland on April 25, 1942. He died in October 2000.

She worked for Cook, Everett and Pennell Wholesale Druggist in Portland before moving to Florida during World War II, where she worked at Lordwick Aviation Military Academy as secretary to the chief guard.

She later moved back to Strong, where she worked as an office assistant for Forster Manufacturing Co. at the Strong plant for 35 years. She was a member of the Strong United Methodist Church.

She was a past matron of Oppolunski Chapter 125, Order of the Eastern Star; past grand warder of the Grand Chapter of Maine, OES; past royal matron of the Order of the Amaranth; past high priestess of the White Shrine; past queen of the Daughters of the Nile, Arock Temple; and on the advisory board of the local chapter of Rainbow Girls.

Survivors include a daughter, Sherry Rackliff and her husband, Ronald, of Temple; a son, Douglass Timberlake and his wife, Carol, of Strong; six grandchildren, Scott, Jason and Jill Rackliff of Colorado, Todd Rackliff of South Carolina, Christopher Timberlake of Claremont, N.H., and Jonathan Timberlake of Bangor; and one great-grandson, Jordan Rackliff of Colorado.

She was predeceased by her husband; a brother, Douglass Foster; and one grandchild, Darcy Rackliff.
