WATERFORD – The Waterford Community Supper will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Wilkins House on Plummer Hill Road.

After the supper, Umit Dogan, a guest of Judy and John Thompson, will give an hourlong PowerPoint presentation about Turkey and the ancient Middle East. A question-and-answer session will follow.

Dogan, who lives in Edmonds, Wash., was born and raised in Turkey. He wants people to know his native country and to appreciate its diversity. Dogan moved to the United States 21 years ago when he established his travel company. The Thompsons know him as a friend and travel guide.

The suppers are open to the public. Those attending are invited to bring a dish to share and their friends.
