“Memoirs of a Geisha”
This movie is based on the best selling book written by Arthur Golden. “Memoirs of a Geisha” takes place a few years before WWII. A young, poor Japanese girl is torn from her family and forced to be a maid in a Geisha house. As the movie progresses you see all the trials and tribulations that this poor girl goes through. It’s unique to see how this young woman transforms into the legendary geisha Sayuri.
