Heritage Day

BETHEL – The 32nd annual Heritage Day will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Bethel Historical Society’s Regional History Center, 10-14 Broad St.

Homemade Indian pudding will be served from the hearth of the winter kitchen at the Dr. Moses Mason House during the special museum tours offered during the afternoon.

Exhibits, “Molly Ockett and her World,” “Bethel: A Historic Town” and “Newry 200,” will be open at the O’Neil Robinson House. There will also be traditional craft demonstrations, historical videos and a local history book fair.

The museum shop will be open, with several new items included in this year’s offerings.

Everyone is welcome.

Members needed

BETHEL – The Mahoosuc Community Band is accepting new members. Anyone who has played an instrument and would like to join the band is welcome. Members meet weekly at 7 p.m. Mondays for an hour and 45 minutes.

Holly Arey, secretary, said “This is a great time of year to join the band as we are starting to prepare for the upcoming summer concert season. There is a special need for people who can play the clarinet or saxophone as the band is planning to prepare a couple of numbers which will use them.
