AUBURN – The Capt Frank W. Hulett Post 1603, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and its Auxiliary held an annual youth awards banquet on Feb. 9 at the post home on 588 Minot Ave.

The main purpose of the banquet was to recognize winners in the 58th Voice of Democracy essay contest.

Samantha Maheux from Edward Little High School and Robert R. Maberry from Poland Regional High School were presented certificates and monetary awards from the post and auxiliary. Both students were accompanied by their parents and siblings. The meal was served by Joan Hebert and Auxiliary members.
