L/A Community Little Theatre is presenting “Diary of Anne Frank” June 2-11. The following roles need to be filled: Anne, 13, a young, willful schoolgirl who grows into young womanhood; Margot, 16-17, Anne’s bright, studious and somewhat shy sister; Peter Van Daan, 16-17, a fairly typical adolescent teenager.

The play tells the well-known story of Anne living in hiding with her family and others in the secret annex of an Amsterdam warehouse in Nazi-occupied Holland during World War II. The piece is extremely well written and is at once warm and humorous as it is cutting and terrifying. Lee Griswold is the Director.

Auditions will be held Sunday, March 12 and Monday, March 13, starting at 6 p.m. at the Great Falls Performing Arts Center, Academy St., Auburn. Interested students should call Doreen Traynor at the CLT box office at 783-0958 for an appointment to audition. Please be prepared to recite a monologue in addition to reading for a part. The recitation could be a poem, a speech or something you have done previously and are comfortable with.
