LEWISTON – “Acupuncture to Enhance Well Being During Cancer Treatment and Recovery” will be the topic of a meeting from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, of the Central Maine Medical Center Cancer Wellness and Support Group.

Physician assistant Sally Van Snepson from the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center, a licensed acupuncturist, will discuss the principles and benefits of acupuncture for people living with cancer.

A graduate of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich., Van Snepson also holds a master’s degree from Bastyr University in Seattle. She completed her physician assistant training at the University of New England in Biddeford.

She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

The free program will be held in Conference Room I of the 12 High Street Medical Office Building in Lewiston. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, call Kerry Irish at 795-7118.
