AUBURN – Rita L. Coolidge, 74, formerly of Turner, died at Clover Health Care Facility on March 5.
She was born on March 23, 1931, in Lewiston, the daughter of Clint and Germaine (Fisher) Weston.
She was a longtime resident of Turner. She worked for many years as a CNA at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.
Her many hobbies include spending time at the coast, especially going to Myrtle Beach, S.C., bird-watching, yard sales, dining out and spending time outdoors. She was very proud of her story of surviving Hurricane Hugo while staying in Myrtle Beach.
She is survived by her son, Gary Coolidge and wife, Patty; daughter, Sue Strout and husband, Reggie; sister, Janet Richard; grandchildren, Christina Jordan and husband Peter, Dustin Coolidge, and Chad Caron.
She was predeceased by her parents; sister, Irene Durgin; brother, Lloyd Weston; and niece, Marlene Morris.
Rita’s family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Brown and his staff and also Clover Health Care for their special care.
