What is it? Every year a group of seniors from St. Dom’s volunteer their time to travel down to Mount Bayou, Mississippi and help out those in need. This year there are twenty-six students traveling down to Mississippi along with eight chaperones. This is their eighth year doing this mission trip and every year has been successful. But Mission to Mississippi isn’t just a trip; it’s a year long process of busy meetings, plenty of bottle drives and other fund-raisers.
One of the annual fund-raisers is the Mission to Mississippi Pancake Breakfast. This year it is being held at the Holy Cross Church Hall (15 Baird Ave. off of Lisbon Street in Lewiston) Sunday March 19, from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Tickets for Adults are $4, Children ages 6-12 are $3, and Children under 5 eat FREE! You can purchase your tickets at the door and we’ll look forward to meeting you. Please come and support our class by helping us raise money and getting a great breakfast in return.
