AUBURN – Roger M. Fougere, 65, of Lewiston, died Friday, March 10, with his loving family by his side at the Hospice House.

He was born on Nov. 4, 1940, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

He is a longtime resident of Lewiston, and worked for many years in the local mills. He also was a coal miner, and more recently, a driver for Community Concepts.

He had numerous hobbies, including hunting, fishing, working on cars and going on car rides. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and was well-known for his quick wit, sarcasm and sense of humor.

He was also known as a person who is always willing to help people and quick to lend a hand.

Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Ernestine (Iezzi) Fougere; a son, Anthony Iezzi; daughters, Tina Marie Ayer, Deborah Rodrique, Annette Fougere and Theresa Fougere; a sister, Myrna; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
