TURNER – Deborah Holland, business manager of the Jay school system since 1995, has been appointed business manager of SAD 52 by the board of directors.

Holland will begin her duties in Turner on Monday, replacing Christopher Trenholm, who resigned recently for a similar position in the Auburn school system. She is a graduate of Mt. Blue High School, Kennebec Valley Technical Institute and Thomas College.

She was unanimously chosen by a 14-member selection committee from Turner, Leeds and Greene to manage the district’s finances, including a budget of more than $20.6 million this school year. She said she is “looking forward to the exciting challenge” of managing the district’s funds.
