FARMINGTON – Sylva A. Perreault, 83, of Wilton, died early Tuesday, March 14, at Sandy River Center for Rehabilitation.

He was born April 22, 1922, in St. Juste, Quebec, a son of Amedee and Malvina (Fournier) Perreault and received his education in parochial schools.

On May 21, 1949, he married Solange G. Bouffard in Lac Megantic and they made their home in Stratton before moving to Wilton in 1963. Mr. Perreault was employed for many years at Forster Manufacturing Co. Inc. in Wilton. In his later years, he was the caretaker at St. Mary’s Church, First Congregational Church and United Methodist Church in Wilton.

He was a member of the Wilton Historical Society and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Wilton and later at St. Joseph’s in Farmington. Mr. Perreault enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his two daughters, Sylvie Perreault and her fianc, Robert DeLong, of Amesbury, Mass. and Susie Porter and her companion, Larry Graham, of Benton; a brother and five sisters; five grandchildren, Anthony Pelletier, Angelique Pelletier and Michael Pelletier, all of California, Amy Belvin of New Hampshire and Erika Hamlin of Sydney; and three great-grandchildren, Angelina and Bianca Pelletier of California and Ethan Belvin of New Hampshire.

He was predeceased by a son, John on Dec. 19, 1993; and his wife, Solange, on Jan. 7, 2005.
