SOUTH PARIS – The 20th annual Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic is scheduled for Saturday, August 19. It will retain the popular scramble format, but will include a total of 18 holes, with half the field starting at Paris Hill Country Club in the morning and the other half at Norway Country Club. Teams will switch courses for the back-9 in the afternoon.

Plans call for a mid-day barbecue at Paris Hill, and an end-of-day awards ceremony and reception at Norway CC.

In addition to the usual array of prizes (long drive, closest to the pin, etc.), golfers will have a chance to qualify for a putt-off that will entitle the winner to putt for $5,000 cash. Both golf courses will provide complimentary 2007 season memberships among the huge assortment of door prizes.

Entry fee is $75 per person, or $300 per team. Lunch is included.

“The golf tournament has proven itself to be among the social highlights of the season each year,” said Chamber President Rich Livington.”
