AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) – A look at Friday’s second round of the Masters (all times EDT) at Augusta National:

Leading: Chad Campbell, who tied for best round of the day and made only one bogey on his way to a 5-under 67 and a 6-under 138 total.

Just behind: Rocco Mediate and past champions Vijay Singh and Fred Couples were three strokes back at 141.

Where’s Tiger?: Defending champion Tiger Woods missed a few short putts and shot 71, but is lurking just five strokes off the lead.

Going, going, gone: Reigning U.S. Open champ Michael Campbell led a parade of former major winners out of town for the weekend. Also missing the cut: two-time major champions Mark O’Meara and John Daly; six-time winner Nick Faldo; eight-time winner Tom Watson; and a handful of other former Masters winners.

Notable: 68-year-old former champion Charles Coody beat 26-year-old Charles Howell III; neither made the cut.

Surprise!: Singh started with the lead, made three double bogeys, then birdied two of the final four holes to climb back into a three-way tie for second.

Key statistic: David Duval played the first 20 holes at 19 over and the last 16 at 4 under. He missed the cut.

Quotable: “I’m going to refrain from answering that question, because if I do, the tee box is going to be back even farther.” – Phil Mickelson when asked what club he used on his second shot into the 570-yard, par-5 eighth to set up a birdie.

Key tee times: Sergio Garcia and Adam Scott, 11:50 a.m.; Retief Goosen and Tiger Woods, 1:30 p.m.; Darren Clarke and Phil Mickelson, 2:30 p.m.; Chad Campbell and Rocco Mediate, 2:50 p.m.

Television: CBS, 3:30-7 p.m.
