WEBSTER, N.H. (AP) – Authorities found a 70-year-old Webster man on Monday afternoon, ending an overnight search.

Fish and Game Captain Marty Garabedian said a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers boat patrol team found Robert Metzger on the side of the Blackwater River, near the Webster-Salisbury town line, around 1 p.m.

Garabedian said Metzger was alert and conscious, but went to the hospital to be checked out.

Officers searched throughout the night for Metzger, who was last seen Sunday afternoon walking near Lake Winnepocket in Webster.
