The Pi-Cone Math League season ended with a bang for the St. Dominic RHS team. They had an amazing year. The scores were cumulatively composed of all the points scored from each meet throughout the year. As a team, St. Dom’s placed first with 1,108 points in not only its small schools division, but in the entire league against schools twice as large. This is the first time that St. Dom’s has placed 1st for the entire league.

Many individual awards were also given. David Chamberlain, a senior, placed first in the entire league with 236 points, winning an 84-silver graphing calculator. Charles Poulin placed second out of all of the seniors with 148 points. Carla Henault and Sasha Pavlak tied for fourth out of the juniors with 125 points. Carolyn Tardif placed third out of the juniors with 148 points. Michael Girouard, a freshman, placed second in the freshman/sophomore division with 101 points.

The St. Dom’s team is coached by Mrs. Girouard, Mrs. Brush, Miss Little, and Mrs. Bouffard. The team will be attending the state meet on Tuesday, April 11, and was also invited to attend the regional meet on April 28. Needless to say, the mathletes and the advisors were very proud. Congratulations and good luck St. Dom’s!
