LEWISTON – A special segment of a Post 22, American Legion, meeting in April was dedicated in an observance of Patriots Day, which is celebrated in Massachusetts and Maine.

A special poem relating to Patriots Day was read by Post 22 Commander Richard Giem. The post historian, Gerald La-Brie, gave a talk on patriotism. Post 22 Adjutant Jerry DerBoghosian won the costume prize for his attire as a Revolutionary War soldier.

Sergeant-at-Arms Donald T. Dube and Service Officer Joseph Paradis led the membership in singing patriotic songs.The segment concluded with the singing of “God Bless America.”
